After you have all the preparation, you should combine the flour, salt, baking soda, and toasted wheat germ in a bowl, mix it. Then, add buttermilk mixture and stir it until the dry dough is moistened.

The next step is you have to heat a nonstick griddle which coated with cooking spray. Use the medium heat one. Pour 1/4 cup batter for each pancake. It is approximately 5-inch circle. Wait until the batter is well-cooked. The well-cooked batter usually covered with bubbles and has brown edge. You can add the sugar-free maple syrup and some fresh fruits. You have to know that one tablespoon of maple syrup which has free sugar contains 3 grams of carbohydrate and 8 calories. Because you are doing one of diabetic food recipes you should be careful in choosing and using the ingredients.
